If you break down on the motorway
- Move onto the hard shoulder or into an emergency area if you can, and switch on your hazard lights
- Exit the vehicle on the passenger side and wait behind the barrier, away from traffic
- Call us on 07405 397780 with your location — motorway marker posts or the What3Words app help us find you quickly
- On a smart motorway with no hard shoulder, follow the overhead signs and call 999 if you feel you are in danger
